Three Officials Can't Cover Five Players a Side

Not every fix has to be about blame. Some of this is just math. A three-official crew is being asked to track ten players across a full court, and it isn't working. One proposal gaining traction: assign four officials to every game, with two stationed permanently on the baselines to watch the paint, post play, and drives instead of trying to run the length of the court.

It's a simple idea. More eyes, better angles, fewer missed calls in the exact areas where the physical, judgment-heavy fouls happen. The WNBA doesn't need to reinvent officiating. It needs to staff it like the product actually deserves.
